The RAF Tennis team has opened the season with impressive performances at the Inter-Service Development Championships, securing both the men’s and ladies’ titles following two days of singles and doubles matches against the Royal Navy and the Army at the Portsmouth Tennis Academy.

Across the tournament, matches were decided by fine margins and shifting momentum, with both squads showing composure under pressure in key moments.

Ash Cudlipp, SQEP, commented: “What stood out for me was the positive atmosphere across the two days. There was a real sense of focus when players stepped onto court, a high level of tennis played by all competitors and superb team support throughout the tournament. It has been a strong start in 2026 for the RAF team and there is a clear sense of momentum building for the coming season.”

With the Inter-Service Development Championships complete, attention now turns to a busy summer of fixtures.

Next up is the Tennis4All event at RAF Odiham later this month, followed by the RAF Champs in June and the Inter-Service A Championships at Wimbledon later in the summer.

👉 We will continue to share updates as the season progresses and provide details on upcoming matches for those who would like to attend and support the team.
