Certification support for a new air platform

Upon the introduction of a new air platform to the UK military, SQEP was contracted to support the Defence Equipment & Support Delivery Team in its development of the requisite Airworthiness and Certification Strategies.

We tailored a highly experienced team consisting of former Type Airworthiness Authorities and industry experts and deployed them to work closely with the Delivery Team and other design and regulatory stakeholders.

Co-operating and communicating effectively with the myriad of parties involved in this process, SQEP produced the strategies which successfully ensured the approval of the full business case.    

Following this success, SQEP continued to work with the DT and the Air System Co-ordinating Design Organisation to refine and uplift the strategies and develop the Certification Programme Plan. Our intrinsic knowledge of the relevant aviation and UK Defence policies meant that we were able to help the DT navigate the web of regulatory requirements with confidence. Our SMEs helped evolve the Programme Master Schedule into an incremental Certification Schedule, providing the DT with a step-by-step roadmap so that they could confidently achieve regulatory compliance.
