Did you know?
- Every minute, a man dies by suicide somewhere in the world
- 69% of all suicides globally are men
- 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15–34
This November, SQEP is proud to support Movember, the global movement changing the face of men’s health – tackling mental wellbeing, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and suicide prevention.
Leading the charge is our own Nigel Starr. Veteran, Mental Health First Aider, and 17 year MoBro. In his words “Movember is more than a moustache, it’s about sparking conversations, checking in on one another, and making sure men know they’re not alone.”
The challenge at SQEP:
- Our Mo Bros are leading the way by growing moustaches from 1st November.
- The wider team is getting involved by moving for mental health – 60km to honour the 60 men lost every hour.
Stay tuned for mid-month updates…
