The conversations at Security Cleared EXPO made something very clear. Experience is not in short supply. Across engineering, cyber, programme delivery and assurance, the depth of knowledge was obvious.
What stood out for us was that people are not just asking what the role is. They are assessing the environment they will join. Who they will work alongside. And whether their experience will be used, respected and developed.
Many of the discussions were focused on contribution, growth and working in teams that understand the reality of high assurance work, not just the theory of it.
This shift matters. Because in this sector trust is not claimed. It is built through consistency, clarity and how you work with people.
For SQEP Ltd, the EXPO was not about pitching. It was about listening properly. Understanding what is driving decisions and what people now expect from the organisations they choose.
