Brian McDonald (Mac) joins SQEP Ltd as Head of Airworthiness and Certification, bringing more than 28 years of experience leading airworthiness authority, certification and engineering leadership across defence and aerospace.
Across his career Mac has operated in the Royal Air Force, Defence Equipment and Support and industry roles. He has held delegated airworthiness authority and led engineering teams responsible for the delivery and assurance of complex military aircraft and systems. His work has consistently required technical decisions that are robust, traceable and aligned to operational need.
Mac has built his career balancing engineering judgement with the practical application of risk, helping organisations navigate complex regulatory environments without losing sight of operational outcomes.
His appointment strengthens SQEP’s ability to support customers through increasingly demanding airworthiness and certification challenges. With deep technical leadership and a balanced approach to risk, Brian helps programmes navigate complexity and move forward with confidence.
