Last week, members of the SQEP Ltd team were proud to attend and support the 45-year anniversary of the Chinook at RAF Odiham, a milestone marking more than four decades of continuous service and evolution for one of the RAF’s most enduring capabilities.

SQEP supported the evening as a sponsor alongside others from across the defence aviation community, reflecting the long-standing relationships and shared commitment that underpin the Chinook enterprise.

Members of the SQEP team in attendance included @Paul Mayo, Sarah, @Sir Julian Young, @Nick Cox, @Nick Adlam, @Debs Smith, @Nigel Starr and @Laura Durrant.

The event brought together serving personnel, industry partners and guests from across defence aviation, with speakers including Group Captain @Hannah Bishop, Chinook Force Commander, @Liz McConaghy and Air Vice-Marshal @Phil Robinson among others. It was a powerful reminder of the experience, continuity and collaboration that sits behind both the platform and the people who support it.

For SQEP, the Chinook community represents a long-standing area of expertise and engagement across airworthiness, certification and rotary capability. We recently explored our rotary capability and perspective in more detail here.

We are proud to continue supporting the community around this capability and to play an active role in moments that recognise its history and future
