After an incredible career across the defence, aviation, and nuclear sectors, we’re saying farewell to Ken Cooper as he retires from the industry.
From mentoring the next generation of specialists to shaping our environmental and sustainability capabilities, Ken’s impact has been far-reaching, and he now leaves a lasting legacy here at SQEP.
Last week, some of the SQEP team gathered at HMS Nelson in Portsmouth, the Royal Navy’s principal shore barracks, to give Ken the send-off he truly deserves. Surrounded by colleagues, friends, and the storied walls of this historic establishment, it was a fitting celebration of a career defined by dedication, leadership, and impact.
“I just wanted to thank you all for the great meal, company and send off at HMS Nelson earlier this afternoon. It was great to see so many people together in a fabulous location and share some memories of my career with you all.
The signed 40 year anniversary Chinook print was icing on the cake!! A very nice and kind gesture. I will need to sort my study and display it in a suitable position.
My thanks to Paul Mayo and Jim Mateer for recounting so many memories from the years I have worked in the defence industry”.
Ken, you will be greatly missed, but we know you’ll bring the same energy and insight to whatever comes next for you! Wishing you all the very best from everyone at SQEP.
