The Inter-Service ‘A’ Tennis Championships brought together players from across the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force for two days of competition at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Wimbledon. Held at one of the sport’s most iconic venues, the Championships gave Service personnel the opportunity to compete on a stage few players experience.

With Men’s and Ladies’ teams competing across senior and masters categories, the event once again demonstrated the commitment and preparation across all services.

As proud sponsors of RAF Tennis, SQEP was delighted to support the RAF team throughout the Championships, including Ali Johnson, who represented the Men’s Masters team. After a hard-fought contest, the RAF team secured first place, with the Army finishing a close second and the Royal Navy taking third.

Ash Cudlipp, SQEP’s representative for RAF Tennis sponsorship, commented:

“It was an absolute privilege to support RAF Tennis at the AELTC. The standard of competition was outstanding, but what stood out most was the commitment, respect and team spirit shown across both days of competition in demanding conditions. Sport provides unique opportunities to forge connections across the defence enterprise, learn from those around you and perform at a high level, no matter what the circumstances. We’re proud to support a community that reflects those values.”

We look forward to continuing our support of RAF Tennis and following the team’s progress throughout the season.
