We’ve been back supporting the FIRST Tech Challenge UK – and once again, it’s a powerful reminder of what the future of engineering looks like.
Across events in Dursley, Sheffield, and Stoke, our SQEP team stepped up as judges, referees, inspectors, and announcers – but most importantly, as mentors and advocates for the next generation.
This year’s challenge, DECODE, asked students to think differently: combining creativity, technical skill, and teamwork to solve complex, real-world problems.
The result? Energy, ingenuity, and ideas that genuinely inspire confidence in the engineers of tomorrow.
“For me, the best part of FIRST Tech Challenge UK is seeing students take on big problems, explore STEM in action, and leave with real confidence in what they can achieve.” — Mark Ball, Senior Consultant, SQEP Ltd.
Huge thanks to Andy Petrylak, Peter Deakin, Alan Jackson, and Mark Ball. It’s brilliant to see Team SQEP so actively supporting the next generation.
And to every student who took part: your curiosity, collaboration, and determination are exactly what this industry needs.
