Airworthiness and Certification has been a cornerstone for SQEP Ltd since our inception in 2014. Since then, we have been providing expert Airworthiness and Certification consultancy into defence and industry, through proven expertise, borne from years of experience. 

We are interested in individuals who have Initial / Type Airworthiness and Certification Experience, specifically…  

  • Compliance with Design Standards – Ensures the aircraft meets the applicable Military or Civil design standards or specification (e.g. EASA Certification Specifications, FAA Federal Aviation Regulations, Defence Standard 00-970).
  • Type Certification / Military Type Certification – Issued by a Regulator when an Air System design meets all its Airworthiness requirements. In the case of a Military context where there are non-compliances, building of technical arguments to help manage risk – underpinning risk acceptance and approval.
  • Design Assurance and Control – Application of systems engineering validation and verification principles, to ensure the integrity of design.
  • Safety Assessment – Conducting Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Configuration Management – Managing changes to the design, ensuring audit traceability.

With these key Skills:

  • Ability to understand and interpret regulation, standards, and legislation. 
  • Technical documentation analysis and assurance. 
  • System design validation and verification. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively. 
  • Ability to lead and manage projects / teams. 

And Qualifications such as…  

  • Professional institution membership (IET, RAeS, IMechE etc..) at an appropriate level (CEng, IEng, EngTech). 
  • A Master’s degree (MEng, MSc), degree (BEng, BSc), HND, or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. 
  • Any course and qualification relevant to an individuals’ Initial / Type Airworthiness and / or Certification experience.
